Two physicians and one psychologist skillfully tackle a touchy topic and provides a whole overview of pain-causing conditions suffered by women, from skin conditions and hormonal changes to inflammation with the lining of the bladder, sexually transmitted diseases, and yeast infections. It�s enough to produce a gal swear off sex. The authors give helpful, straightforward advice that�s often an easy task to follow. For example, they recommend unscented toilet paper for contact dermatitis. In addition they give some good basic ob/gyn information, including that the clitoris is basically a female penis. One quibble: there isn�t enough information regarding sources. It�s difficult to believe, for example, that �more than 20 million American women alone are experiencing painful sex inside their lifetime.� If that�s true, though, this informative book should fly over shelves. --Karen Springen
