"This book plunges you full-on into a holy conspiracy, a top-secret mission of courageous love and liberation. May it inspire all individuals to subvert injustice everywhere we have seen it." (Shane Claiborne, author, activist and compiler of Common Prayer )
"I hope that every Christ-follower who's set on justice issues in our world will drop whatever they're doing of sufficient length to look at this book. The evils of human slavery along with the sex trade industry are graphically depicted in these pages and really should call us to reorder our priorities. This rare, behind-the-scenes snapshot not only raises awareness and calls us to action but fires off a warning shot for people who goes for the front lines on this battle." (Scott Olson, president and CEO, International Teams USA )
"God in a Brothel tells the heartbreaking story with the horrors and prevalence of sex trafficking through the world. Daniel Walker offers a candid look with the scope from the problem, including the different forms of trafficking, at the identical time because the way to combat it. This book is really a keen reminder that individuals as Christians use a moral responsibility to talk out and challenge the systems that perpetuate dehumanizing slavery and ensure that captives are set free." (Richard Stearns, president, World Vision, and author of The Outlet in Our Gospel )
"While there are several books around the hell and horror of recent trafficking, Daniel further reveals the intimate personal pain and loss in fighting this evil on top lines. In recent years we've witnessed an encouraging surge of engagement about the centuries-old problem of slavery, but from it has come a steep learning curve. We have to stop measuring ourselves against glossy stories and good intentions. Daniel calls us to some more professional approach for the rescue and recovery of slaves, as well as better care for those engaged." (Talmage Payne, CEO, Hagar International )
"A sobering and frequently harrowing account of an international mission to rescue sexually exploited children inside Third World--but also an email of hope, plus a reminder there remain people available who're ready to risk all to bring this tragedy for the attention of others. I sincerely hope this book will come track of a difference." (Dave Haslett, retired detective inspector, New Zealand Police )
"This inspiring book tells the painful and dear story of a single man's journey in the heart from the modern slave trade, the global sexual trafficking of ladies and children. It not only tells in the dramatic rescue of several innocent victims but of your struggle for justice with corrupt politicians and law enforcement agencies who allow this trade to flourish for their own personal gain. We have celebrated the ending in the African slave trade two hundred years ago, but a level bigger challenge exists on our personal doorstep today." (Murray Robertson, president, Baptist Churches of New Zealand )
"Absolutely fabulous. Gripping, wrenching, this book will make you cry. Everyone should look at this powerful summons to justice and amazing witness to grace." (Ronald J. Sider, president, Evangelicals for Social Action )
"Sex trafficking is often a hot subject these days. Speakers, films, magazine articles and books have raised the consciousness of Christian people everywhere. The problem is that few people have ever determined ways to respond for this ugly exploitation. In this book, we contain the story of one man's journey into that strange and dirty world to do what he could to provide deliverance and wish for people that are imprisoned with despair." (Tony Campolo, Ph.D., Eastern University )
Daniel Walker spent time working being an undercover investigator for any variety of nonprofit organizations attempting to free women and children from sex trafficking within the United States plus on the dozen countries across the world. He holds a master's degree in Third World economic development from Eastern University in Philadelphia. He has over twenty years of experience with law enforcement and it is currently working as being a police detective based in New Zealand.
